About bahina

bahina – A sparkle of sisterhood.

Bloodsisters, soulsisters, wonderful women who support each other – that’s the spirit of bahina.

Back in 2007, sisters Annick and Noëlle Jordi turned a shared dream into reality by founding bahina Sàrl. The name “bahina” comes from Hindi and means “sisters”- a perfect reflection of their close bond and creative partnership.

It all started when Annick struggled to find jewelry that truly resonated with her. So, she and Noëlle decided to design their own! Noëlle, a trained gemologist, brought her deep knowledge of gemstones and years of experience in the diamond trade, while Annick, with her background in design and marketing (from Paris and New York’s Fashion Institute of Technology), infused the brand with creativity and vision.

Annick’s love for travel takes her across the world in search of the most vibrant and unique gemstones. She handpicks these treasures and transforms them into stunning, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces made from 18-carat gold – each design a celebration of color and elegance.

As bahina jewels flourished, a new idea was born! In 2011, inspired by friends who adored the pashminas Annick brought back from India, bahina joy was introduced – a luxurious collection of handpicked pashminas that perfectly complemented their jewelry line.

In 2022, Noëlle embarked on a new adventure, leaving Annick at the helm of bahina. With the unwavering support of a loyal community, her passion for design, and strong industry connections, Annick continues to lead bahina into an exciting future.

More than just a brand, bahina is a celebration of sisterhood – whether it’s between siblings, soul sisters, or incredible women lifting each other up.

In 2011, five years after the successful launch of the bahina jewels jewelry collection, the company introduced its own Pashmina collection, bahina joy. The inspiration for this came from friends who fell in love with the colorful pashminas that Annick brought back from her travels to India. In 2022, Noëlle decided to leave the company to pursue her personal dreams. Thanks to a very loyal customer base, her passion for jewelry and textile design, and well-established relationships in the jewelry industry, Annick continues this unique journey on her own and looks forward to further developing the bahina brand. Today, bahina represents “sisterhood,” whether it be blood sisters, soul sisters, or simply wonderful women who support and empower one another.
